Psalm 23:1-6
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

What goes in a funeral program
What goes in a funeral program?
A funeral program, also called an order of service, tells guests what will happen at the service and gives them something to keep. Most have these parts:
- A front cover with the person's full name, dates of birth and death, and often a photo.
- The date, time and place of the service.
- The order of service, with who leads each part.
- A short life story or obituary.
- A reading, poem or prayer.
- The names of the pallbearers and the officiant.
- A thank-you note from the family and details of any reception.
What is the usual order of a funeral service?
It depends on the family's faith and wishes. Many U.S. services follow an order close to the one the template starts with: prelude music, a welcome, an opening prayer, a reading, the eulogy, a hymn or song, a closing prayer and the recessional.
A memorial service without the body often skips the recessional. A graveside committal may be a short service of its own. Ask the officiant or the funeral home what is usual for your service, then add, remove or reorder the parts.
How do you print a funeral program at home?
The folded program prints on one sheet of letter paper, both sides, in landscape. The outside has the back page on the left and the cover on the right. The inside has the life story and the order of service.
A sheet of letter paper is 8.5 by 11 inches. Folded in half, it makes four pages of 5.5 by 8.5 inches.
- Choose "Print or save as PDF" above.
- Set the paper to letter and the scale to 100%. Turn off "Fit to page."
- Print on both sides and choose "Flip on short edge."
- Fold the sheet in half with the cover on the outside.
